Huge Molasses Tank Explodes are a psychedelic quartet from Milan.
The band was named after a headline of
the “Boston Post”, reporting the “Great Molasses Flood” that
took place in Boston on January 15th, 1919, when a huge tank exploded flooding the northern area of
the city.
HTME’s sound floats between evocative kraut rock echoes, shoegaze influences flashing from the 90s
and a fresh modern feel.

Really hard to pick a favorite in this awesome record! I can hear a lot of King Gizzard (especially Quaters and I'm in your mind fuzz) guitar ideas in it mixed with a lot of jazz and rock. Very colorful and entertaining and gives me a good mood!

Oh how I long for this album in vinyl format! Such smoothness. Such warmth. Such execution. This music begs to be taken along and woven into memories. Everyone I’ve shared this album with has loved it. The music speaks far and wide. Shouting out to a fellow follower, Brian Lehmann, for his excellent taste in music. If not for him, I likely would have never stumbled upon this absolute gem!
